There are certainly differences in outlook and approach to work among the generations, and these differences can sometimes clash inflicting damage on the performance of the individuals involved, which stifles creativity, disrupts communication and leads to potentialy significant unrealized potential of a company. Stong ethics and a corporate value system truely embrassed by the leaders on down can usually overcome these differences.

    Thanks for the comment and your use of the word “clash” is very interesting and here’s why: If we have shared mssion and goals in an organization and people are “flexible” but focused, it is pretty tough to clash. Well said, when generations dig in their heels everyone’s performance is deminished.
